In order to be able to operate competitively despite the growing complexity of logistics processes, the automation of individual process steps is becoming increasingly important. Due to the increasing movement of goods, incoming goods, sorting, storage, call-off, picking and outgoing goods must be carried out faster and faster. The high variance of objects and increasing demands on traceability pose additional challenges.
Many high-power lighting systems from LUMIMAX® are up to these challenges – especially the LBHP Bar Lights. The modular design allows light field lengths of 2 metres and more and therefore the uniform illumination of large inspection areas, for example in logistics portals. Enormous brightness levels of up to 1 million lux and customised optics enable high-contrast images, even from greater distances. Extraneous light is completely blocked out. Thanks to the efficient, integrated controller technology, even up to 100 inspections per second can be imaged without motion blur – ideal for challenging logistics processes.
In order to avoid disturbing employees despite the strong light pulses, infrared lighting should be used. These are barely visible to the human eye, but can be reliably captured by the camera. A combination of permanent and flash operation in the visible spectral range is also possible in this respect.
