  • Why is the camera image or the camera display too dark?

    Fault description: Camera image too dark or image too dark.


    Troubleshooting:

    • Use the lighting control panel in the software to set the desired lighting. (Subject lighting adjustment)
    • Clean the equipment.
    • Clean the carrier disc for the cable samples.
    • Check the camera settings.
    • Check the light settings.

  • How often should my measuring device be checked/calibrated?

    How often you have your measuring device checked/calibrated is your own choice or based on quality assurance requirements.

     

    Our recommendation to keep the measuring results for the measuring device as accurate as possible is one check/calibration per year.

     

    We will be happy to help you in calibrating your measuring device. To this end, we offer various options for calibration:

    1. iiM service technician on site:
      We will be only too happy to perform the calibration for you. Our technicians possess calibration standards with the DakkS certificate from an accredited laboratory. Using these standards, the equipment is checked (calibrated) and, if necessary, adjusted (value is amended). The service comprises verification of the scope for calibration for the measuring device (functional test), the calibration, and minor maintenance work - if required. Our technicians will be happy to answer your questions about the operation of the system.
    2. Calibration standards
      If you require calibration standards for your VCP measuring device, we can offer you our sample-like, round calibration rings with an internal polygon shape. The standards are always supplied with a measuring report. However, without a certificate, these rings are not suitable for performing a calibration yourself. They can either be used as a quick check or you can sent these rings to an accredited laboratory for certification.
    3. Calibration standards with works calibration certificate
      Would you like to perform your calibration yourself? With a set of our sample-like, round calibration rings with an internal polygon shape, as well as associated works calibration certificates from an accredited laboratory, you can independently check your VCP measuring device and, if necessary, readjust it. However, annual recertification of your standards may be necessary depending on what is contained in your quality management system.
    4. Calibration standards with DakkS certificate
      The standard calibration standards of VisioCablePro with sample-like, round shape and an internal diameter in a polygon shape are also used here. These are also supplied with a DakkS calibration certificate (highest form of certification; direct traceability to national standards). In particular, testing institutions and service providers require this direct traceability to national standards.
